“Way up in Clayton/Wiley, Georgia Where the mountain breezes blow There is a camp for boys/girls…..”

Dear Dixie Alumni and Family, We are inviting you to the Camp Dixie Centennial Celebration. A historical and wonderful event that will be held at Camp Dixie in Clayton, Georgia. The dates for the Centennial Celebration are August 1 – 3, 2014. We’d love to see each of you this summer, so make your plans to attend this reunion now. Please see the  registration form, schedule of events,  and Rabun County accommodations brochure for more details. For planning purposes, please return the registration form no later than July 1, 2014. Please keep in mind that all activities are optional, and you can decide to participate in as few or as many as you like. Remember “there are no easy chairs, where the sissies like to sit”. However, we could have a few placed around for this awesome event. Men who attended the boys camp in Wiley: The spirit of the boys camp is alive and well. Please join us for this celebration. There will be a field trip to the old site in Wiley on August 2. This reunion’s theme:

Come Back Home

Camp Dixie Centennial LogoOver the years countless alumni and campers have stated that Camp Dixie is their second home, or home away from home. We thought it would be only fitting to use that as the theme for the Centennial Celebration. We are hoping that everyone will “Come Back Home” to Dixie. We believe that you will be surprised at the relevance of what we are putting together to make this a memorable experience for all who attend this celebration. It will be a time for remembering – honoring and renewing, but our goal is to unite and  to honor the history and traditions of The Dixie Camps.
